Effective: July 2026 · ULTRA school private limited
Parent Code of Conduct & Engagement Policy
Effective Date: 17 June 2026
Applicable to: All students (ages 3-8), parents/guardians, staff, and visitors of Ultra
1. Purpose
This Policy sets out the standards of conduct, communication, and shared responsibility expected of Parents/Guardians as partners in their child's experience at Ultra (“the School”).
2. Why Parent Conduct Matters
Young children look to the adults around them — both teachers and parents — to model respectful, calm behavior. A consistent, respectful tone between home and School supports each child's sense of security and helps the School community function well for every family.
3. Communication Etiquette
- Direct day-to-day questions and concerns to the Class Teacher first, through official School channels (app, email, diary, or a scheduled call/meeting).
- Use respectful language in all communication, including WhatsApp/parent groups; avoid sarcasm, personal attacks, or all-caps/urgent-toned messages for non-emergencies.
- Allow staff a reasonable response time (typically within 1–2 working days) for non-urgent queries; for emergencies, call the School office directly.
- Refrain from messaging teachers on personal numbers outside official School communication tools.
4. Campus Visits & Drop-off/Pick-up
- Sign in at reception and wear a visitor badge when entering School premises beyond the designated drop-off/pick-up area.
- Do not enter a classroom or approach a child (other than your own) without staff accompaniment.
- Keep drop-off and pick-up brief and calm to help children settle into the School routine; prolonged goodbyes can increase a young child's anxiety.
- Follow the authorized pick-up procedures set out in the Attendance & Leave Policy.
5. Respecting Other Families & Staff
- Do not discipline, scold, or physically handle another family's child on School premises; raise any concern about another child with the Class Teacher or Principal.
- Do not photograph or video other children during School events for personal social media posting, respecting the choices made under the Photo & Media Consent Policy.
- Avoid discussing other specific children or families, whether positively or negatively, in parent groups.
- Treat all staff with courtesy; raise dissatisfaction through the Grievance Redressal Policy rather than through confrontation, public social media posts, or group messages.
6. Supporting the School's Approach
- Reinforce the School's behavior-guidance approach (see Code of Conduct & Anti-Bullying Policy) at home, avoiding contradicting staff instructions in front of the child.
- Share relevant information about the child's home circumstances, sleep, mood, or health that may affect their day, so staff can respond appropriately.
- Participate constructively in Parent-Teacher Meetings, surveys, and School events where possible.
7. Parent Volunteers & PTA
Parents volunteering for School events or participating in a Parent-Teacher Association are expected to follow the same Child Safety & Safeguarding standards as staff while interacting with children other than their own, including avoiding unsupervised one-on-one contact with children.
8. Escalation of Concerns
Concerns that cannot be resolved with the Class Teacher should be escalated through the Grievance Redressal Policy. The School commits to listening to and fairly addressing every genuine concern.
9. Consequences of Serious Misconduct
Repeated disrespectful, abusive, or unsafe conduct by a Parent toward staff, other children, or other families may lead to a formal conversation with School management and, in serious or repeated cases, may affect the family's continued enrollment, as described in the Terms & Conditions, following a fair process.
